Effective Response to Climate Change

Effective Response to Climate Change

The wide-reaching effects of climate change, including ocean acidification, on people, property and living organisms in the coastal and marine environment, are being increasingly recognized at national, regional and local scales. California Sea Grant has identified the following strategic goals in this quickly evolving arena:

  1. Support research to understand the impacts of climate change and ocean acidification on coastal and marine species and environments;
  2. Work with communities and partners to plan for and adapt to the effects of climate change and ocean acidification.
